Container ounces are net weight of honey, not fluid ounces. The 6 lb and 12 lb quick-add buttons are common large-container net weights; every row remains fully editable.

Enter the number of mites counted and the number of adult bees sampled. Get mites per 100 bees, infestation percentage, and a comparison to a benchmark you choose.
The benchmark is a comparison aid, not a treatment instruction. Local action thresholds can vary by season, colony phase, and region.

Queen dates are biological estimates. Weather can delay mating flights and the start of laying.

Development varies slightly with genetics and conditions. Use this as a planning calendar, then confirm what is actually happening in the colony.
SPLITS & QUEENLESS COLONIES
Start with the day a colony became queenless or a walk-away split was made. See the practical windows for queen-cell development, emergence, mating, and when eggs may reasonably appear.
Assumes the colony has suitable eggs or very young larvae from which it can raise an emergency queen. The age of the chosen larva changes the timeline.
Planning windows
Queen rearing and mating are weather- and colony-dependent. Avoid treating these dates as guarantees; inspect for actual queen cells, a queen, and eggs.
WINTER PREP & FEEDING
Compare estimated stores with a target, then size a feed batch separately. This avoids assuming every pound fed becomes a pound of stored winter food.
Estimated store deficit
Your target store weight is a planning choice and varies by climate, colony size, equipment, and winter length. Feed delivered is not the same as stores gained; colonies consume feed and remove water.

This is a production comparison, not a colony-health score. Colony age, splits, forage, weather, management goals, and whether a colony was intended to produce surplus honey all affect yield.
COLONY STRENGTH
Estimate adult bees from the number of frames occupied and average coverage on both sides. The density assumption is visible and editable.

A visual estimate is approximate. Bee density changes with temperature, time of day, frame format, clustering, foraging activity, and how tightly bees cover the comb. “Adult + developing” includes brood that has not emerged and is not the current adult workforce.
POLLINATION & APIARY PLANNING

WAX & FOUNDATION
Estimate sheets and wax weight from the actual foundation you use. Sheet weight varies widely, so the grams-per-sheet assumption stays visible and editable.
Foundation requirement
This is a materials calculation, not a wax-yield prediction. Rendering losses, debris, cappings moisture, foundation thickness, frame size, and manufacturing waste can change the amount of usable foundation produced.
FEEDING ECONOMICS
Compare two feeding options for the same apiary and finished-feed target. Either option can be home-mixed syrup or purchased ready-to-feed syrup.
