Estimate extractable honey from a group of frames using frame count, fill percentage, recovery, and an editable full-frame yield assumption.

HONEY & EXTRACTION
Honey per Frame Yield Estimator
Estimate a harvest from frame count and fill percentage. The full-frame honey yield is deliberately editable because frame dimensions, comb, and actual fill vary.

Planning estimate only. Weighing your own representative full and empty frames will give a better local assumption than any generic frame-size preset.
HARVEST ESTIMATION
Estimate harvest before every frame is extracted
The calculator is built around your own “pounds of honey per completely filled frame” assumption. That avoids presenting one frame weight as universal. Utah State Extension notes that a full deep frame can weigh as much as 10 lb, which illustrates how substantial a full frame can be, but the actual extractable honey is less than total frame weight and varies with equipment and comb.
Most accurate approach:Use a scale to establish a representative full-frame honey yield for your operation, then save that number as your working assumption.
Some honey remains in cells, cappings, plumbing, strainers, and extractor surfaces. The editable recovery input lets your own equipment history replace a generic assumption.
