Enter the honey you have and the net weight per container to calculate how many full jars, bottles, bears, or custom containers you can fill. Or reverse the calculation to find how much honey a packaging run requires.

BOTTLING DAY
Turn harvest weight into a jar count
This calculator stays weight-based on purpose. If you have 80 lb of honey and want 12 oz net-weight bottles, it converts the harvest to weight ounces, applies any handling-loss allowance you choose, and calculates complete containers.
Core calculation:usable honey ounces ÷ ounces per container = full containers.
Formula
Usable oz = harvest lb × 16 × (1 − loss %) Full jars = floor(usable oz ÷ oz per jar)
Reverse mode multiplies container count by net ounces and converts the requirement back to pounds.
Custom containers
Use 2, 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, or 32 oz presets, or type any net weight you actually sell—from sample jars to bulk pails.
Net ounces are not fluid ounces
A honey bottle may be described by physical volume while the product is sold by net weight. If your supplier specifies honey net-weight capacity, enter that weight here. If you only know volume, use the Honey Weight ↔ Volume Converter for planning and verify the actual fill on a scale.
Yes. Presets are shortcuts; any custom net weight works.
What about several jar sizes?
Use the Mixed Harvest Planner to allocate one harvest across several container sizes.
