The spare allowance is applied to jars, lids, and labels. Case count is rounded up from the planned bottling quantity.

Why plan jars, lids, labels, and cases separately?

Packaging inventory rarely disappears evenly. You may have 80 jars left but only 40 matching lids, or a full roll of labels but no cartons. Separate component counts reveal the actual bottleneck.

Spare allowance

The calculator applies your spare percentage to jars, lids, and labels, then subtracts what you already have. Cases are calculated from the planned finished quantity and rounded up.

Costs are order costs, not product costs

The estimated order total is based on the component quantities you still need to purchase. Freight, minimum-order charges, taxes, and custom printing setup costs are not automatically included.
