LABEL & JAR FIT

Honey Jar Label Fit Calculator

Estimate a safe label size for a round container or a flat panel. Measure the actual jar at the intended label area—shoulders, taper, seams, and curved edges matter.

Estimated safe label area

8.39×2.05in
Jar circumference8.64 in
Recommended max width8.39 in
Recommended max height2.05 in
More conservative width7.78 in
Test-print at actual size before ordering labels.

This is geometry, not a manufacturer template. Tapered jars, compound curves, embossed glass, seams, and label-material stiffness can reduce the usable area.

Round jars

For a cylindrical label area, circumference is π × diameter. Subtract the gap you want between the label ends to estimate a maximum wrap width. The calculator also shows a more conservative width for easier application.

Flat panels

For hex jars, square jars, bears, and other containers with a flat face, measure the true flat panel and subtract side/top/bottom margins so the label does not creep onto curved edges.

Always test-print

Paper geometry cannot fully model glass taper, molded seams, embossing, adhesive behavior, label stiffness, or printer/cutter tolerances. Print the result at 100% scale and tape it to the actual container before ordering production labels.
